About this work
Top left: a putto kneeling forward, pulling a lobster from the water; top right: a putto with a scale in his hand, riding a sea hare; bottom left: a putto with an umbrella, riding a fish with tusks; bottom right: a putto with a branch in his arm, riding a sea serpent. Sheet from a series of flat decorations with grotesques, cartouches, ovals, mascarons, putti, and fantastic creatures. The series consists of three title pages, two text pages with the dedication and preface, and 60 sheets, divided into three books.
