About this work

Top left: a putto with a horn full of flowers on a dragon; top right: a putto with a branch of flowers, lying on a fish with scissors; bottom left: a putto hanging around the neck of a seal; bottom right: a putto on the back of a dragon. Sheet from a series of flat decorations with grotesques, cartouches, ovals, mascarons, putti, and fantastic creatures. The series consists of three title pages, two text pages with the dedication and preface, and 60 sheets, divided into three books.
