Esther before Ahasuerus

Esther kneels before King Ahasuerus. The king points his scepter at her as a sign of affection. Esther asks the king to come with Haman to the feast she has prepared. On the right in the background the continuation of the story. The king has the chronicles of the kingdom read to him in the evening. It states that Mordechai foiled an attack on the king's life. The king asks Haman, who is standing by the bed, how someone who has saved the king's life should be honored.
