About this work

King Ahasuerus and his official Haman sit at table with Esther. Esther accuses Haman of the planned murder of the Jewish people. In the background it can be seen how Haman then kneels at the bed of Queen Esther and begs her for his life. King Ahasuerus walks up the stairs and will accuse Haman of assault. On the left through a door it can be seen how Haman is hanged. Below the scene a reference in Latin to the Bible text in Est. 7:4. This print is part of an album.
