About this work

King Ahasveros and his official Haman sit at table with Esther. Esther accuses Haman of the planned murder of the Jewish people. In the background Haman is seen kneeling by the bed of Queen Esther and begging for his life. King Ahasveros walks up the stairs and will accuse Haman of assault. To the left through a door Haman is seen being hanged. Below the scene a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in Est. 7:4. This print is part of an album.
