Left: Patriarch Dan, the fifth son of Jacob. He holds the staff of justice in his hand. In the background a horse being bitten by a snake, references to Dan as upholder of justice and as 'serpent on the way'. Right: Patriarch Gad, the seventh son of Jacob. He stands on a shield and on the ground lies armor. Below the representations a reference in Latin to the Biblical text. This print is part of an album.
