About this work

On the left, patriarch Zebulun, the tenth son of Jacob. He is dressed as a fisherman. On the ground beside him, an anchor. In the background, the sea and a beach, a reference to the dwelling place of Zebulun. On the right, patriarch Issachar, the ninth son of Jacob. Beside him lies a donkey, a reference to Issachar as a 'strong donkey'. Below the images, a reference in Latin to the Biblical text. This print is part of an album.
