About this work

To the left, patriarch Zebulun, the tenth son of Jacob. He is dressed as a fisherman. On the ground beside him, an anchor. In the background, the sea and a beach, a reference to Zebulun's place of residence. To the right, patriarch Issachar, the ninth son of Jacob. Beside him lies a donkey, a reference to Issachar as a 'strong donkey'. Below the images, a reference in Latin to the biblical text. The print is part of an album.
