About this work
In the foreground the Jewish people fight against the army of the Amalekites. In the background on a hill are Moses, Aaron, and Hur. Moses holds his arms up, causing the Jewish army to win the battle. Aaron and Hur help Moses by supporting his arms. Under the image a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in Ex. 17:8.
