About this work
Ornamental letter C with Cain holding the jawbone with which he killed his brother Abel, raised above his head. In the center is an ornamental trophy of arrows, spears, and a helmet. At the bottom of the letter C sits a naked putto. The letter is further decorated with birds, flowers, bunches of fruit, and a fish. On the verso are verses in Latin and German. The print is part of an album.
