About this work
Achan, an Israelite, Is Accused by Joshua of Theft. He Has Stolen from the War Booty Which Was Exclusively Intended for God. He Has Buried the Booty in His Tent. This Is a Violation of the Seventh Commandment: "You Shall Not Steal". In the Background Achan's Punishment: He Is Stoned Together with His Family and Their Bodies Are Burned by the Israelites. The Print Bears a Latin Inscription. The Print Series Depicts the Ten Commandments by Means of Scenes from the Old Testament.
