Sheet printed with text on both sides, an engraved initial V and a cartouche depicting the Battle of Turin, besieged by the French and relieved by the Allies under the Prince of Savoy on 7 September 1706. Sheet (pp. 57-58) from the first volume of: Jean du Mont, Military Description of the Battles and Sieges of the Three ... Widely Renowned War Commanders... Prince Eugene of Savoy, the ... Duke of Marlborough, and the Prince of Orange and Nassau-Vriesland, in the 1729 edition. This first volume is dedicated to the deeds of Eugene, Prince of Savoy.
