About this work

Men and women try to free themselves from the chains with which the devil, sitting on a globe, holds them. They pray to God. Top right in the clouds, the tetragram of God the Father. Illustration of the second line of the Lord's Prayer: Thy kingdom come. Below the representation, this part of the Lord's Prayer in Latin and a reference to the Bible text in Matt. 6:10.
