About this work
Deucalion and Pyrrha stand in the water of a great flood that has destroyed the earth. In the center they kneel before an oracle in a temple. They receive advice from the oracle to throw stones behind them. On the left in the foreground they do so. On the ground the stones turn into children. Below the illustration an explanatory text in Latin. This print is part of an album.
