About this work
Esther is crowned queen by King Ahasuerus on the left. In the foreground three men are watching; the man in the middle is probably Esther's foster father Mordecai, who asks how Esther is doing. In the background Esther can be seen being led to the king. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Esther 2. This print is part of an album.
