The ten wise and foolish virgins wait in the foreground for the bridegroom. The five wise virgins on the left hold their oil lamps burning. The five foolish virgins on the right make music, drink, and sleep while letting their oil lamps lie. In the background, Christ receives the wise virgins as the bridegroom. The foolish virgins knock in vain on the door. Below the scene, a reference in Latin to the Bible text in Matthew 25. This print is part of an album.
