About this work
Illustration of the third article of faith ([Christ] who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary) of the Apostles' Creed. The shepherds kneel and adore the Christ child in the manger. Joseph and Mary stand by the manger. In the background on the left the Annunciation to Mary and in the background on the right the Annunciation to the shepherds. Above the depiction a reference to the Bible text in Luke 2:7. Below the depiction two Bible texts and the third article of faith from the Apostles' Creed in Latin. This print is part of an album.
