About this work
Young woman, walking to the right, dressed in a 'robe à la Polonaise' with manches en sabot trimmed with bows. The dress and skirt are made of silver-colored striped tulle on a background of pink taffeta. On her head a hat 'Anglais' or 'à la Turque' trimmed with tulle and flowers. Accessories: knotted neckerchief, collier, folding fan, bracelet, walking stick with gold knob, ribbon and tassels, heeled shoes, stripes and flowers(?). Copy after V 123 from series V. 21e Cahier des Costumes Français, 15e Suite d'Habillemens à la mode en 1779, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
