About this work
Woman, seen from the back, in a Circassienne of 'gaze d'Italie'(gauze), lined with 'taffetas des Indes'(taffeta). The dress is trimmed with puffed tulle trimmed with rudder spurs, the whole trimmed with a 'ruban anglais'. 'Coëffure' consists of high upswept hair upon which a 'toque à l'Espagnole', trimmed with ostrich feathers and aigrettes. Accessories: fan, heeled shoe.
