About this work

Handsome woman in a 'circassienne' of 'gaze d'Italie'. Over-skirt of the same gauze over a pink skirt trimmed with brocaded tulle and blue ribbon fastened with flowers, tassels and ruffled tulle along the bottom edge. Cuffs of fillet. 'Chapeau en Coquille' trimmed with flowers and feathers. Further accessories: earrings, cord with tassels around the neck, bracelet, folding fan, shoes. Copy after K 55 from series K. 10e Cahier de Costumes Français, 4e Suite d'Habillemens à la mode, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
