About this work

Unmarried woman in a caraco on a skirt with falbala. A fichu around the neck. On the high hairstyle a 'Bonnet à la Pouponne', or a cap of filet trimmed with dotted edging. Accessories: knotted cord around the neck, bracelet, heeled shoes with rosettes. Rose branch in hand. Copy after K 59 from series K. 10e Cahier des Costumes Français, 4e Suite d'Habillemens à la mode, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
