About this work

Young woman in a 'robe à la Polonaise' trimmed with gauze. Manches en sabot. Accessories: hat with flowers, ribbon and feathers, collier with pendant, fan, bracelet, heeled shoes with buckles. By her hand a boy in a sailor suit with rolled-up sleeves. Accessories: hat with feathers, walking stick with gold knob and ribbon, shoes with bows. Copy after jj 198 from series jj. 33e Cahier de Costumes Français, 26e Suite d'Habillemens à la mode en 1780, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
