About this work

High hat with the name 'Chapeau en Bateau'. Redingote with low waist and octagonal buttons. Striped stockings and leather garters on boots with pointed toes. Around the neck a striped neckerchief (?). The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Sellèque, Paris, 1797-1839.
