About this work
Man, walking to the right, dressed in a dark green 'habit redingote' on purple breeches. Horizontally striped stockings. Accessories: 'chapeau à la Tarare' (??), walking stick, shoes with round buckles. The print is part of the 30th Cahier, 2nd year, from the series Magasin des Modes Nouvelles Françaises et Anglaises. The series consists of 172 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 20 November 1786 – 21 December 1789.
