Man in frock coat, with hat à l'Androsmane. According to the accompanying text, the man is dressed in a frock coat with a short waist of 'drap de Bourgogne', with large gilt buttons. Open sleeves 'à la Marinière' with two large gilt buttons at the cuffs. Collar of black velvet. Waistcoat of pink satin. Knee breeches of white cotton. Striped stockings and shoes with large buckles. On his head a hat à l'Androsmane. Under his left arm a bamboo walking stick. According to the text on p. 75, the frock coat is by Monsieur Delcroix, tailor, rue Jean-Tison, near the Louvre. The young public is referred to him to dress fashionably.
