Handsome woman, seen from the back, sitting on a chair with an open snuffbox in her hand. She wears a plain jacket on a petticoat decorated with striped muslin. Mantelet (small shoulder cape) of spotted tulle and a large 'fichu de Col'. On her head a new hat with a ribbon 'à la Marlboroug'.
