About this work
Japanese soldiers destroy the railway with pickaxes, causing a train with Russian soldiers to come to a halt. In reality, the railways in Manchuria were not well developed during the Russo-Japanese War (1904–1905). Russia had great difficulty getting her soldiers to the front line, and this delay indirectly contributed to Japan winning the war.
