About this work
Jacob places peeled branches in the drinking troughs of the sheep to ensure that the white sheep would give birth to spotted young. Thereby he deceives Laban who has agreed with him that he will receive all spotted animals as wages. Title above the image. Below, six lines of verse and a reference to Genesis 30: 37-39.
