About this work

Vast landscape with a large rock formation and a city in the background. In the foreground on the right, the veiled Tamar receives the seal and bracelets from her father-in-law Judah. Judah does not recognize her and thinks she is a prostitute. Tamar becomes pregnant and, through the jewelry Judah gave her, proves that he is the father of her child. After the biblical story from Gen. 38: 1-26.
