About this work
Two pages with one affixed and labeled sample (761) of a decorative vignette in silver-colored metal foil (sample no. 687 missing). On the opposite right page, a table with handwritten corresponding specifications (in code) for each ornament. Part of the sample book donated by the Van Rijn ladies, presumably from a French manufacturer of luxury papers or its representative in the Netherlands, ca. 1830.
