About this work
Two pages with two affixed and labeled samples (767 and 390) of ornaments in gold and silver-colored metal foil. In the form of church architecture and a bookbinding. On the opposite left page, a table with handwritten corresponding specifications (in code) for each ornament. Part of the sample book donated by the Van Rijn ladies, presumably from a French manufacturer of luxury papers or its representative in the Netherlands, ca. 1830.
