About this work

A statue of the goddess of agriculture Ceres, placed in a niche. Ceres holds a sickle to harvest the crops in her hand. Next to her stands a cornucopia filled with fruits. Two snakes on either side of the goddess stand for the fertility of the agricultural soil. With a Latin inscription.
