About this work

Two women display a medallion with the Adoration of the Shepherds. The medallion rests on a pedestal. The figure on the right holds a mirror in her hand and tramples a snake with her foot, the left one tramples a fool's staff. The two women stand under an arch. In the arch are images related to the birth of Christ. Above the Annunciation to Mary and the Annunciation to the Shepherds. On both sides the birth of Christ and the Presentation in the Temple.
