About this work
A woman (Eendracht?) and a man hold their hands over two burning hearts inscribed with 'D' and 'T', likely the initials of the married couple. The burning hearts rest on an altar with Hebrew text. On the left, a coat of arms with the (Dutch?) lion; on the right, a coat of arms with a mermaid and sheaves of corn. At the top, putti on clouds with palm branches and a cornucopia.
