Gentlewoman of France

Noblewoman from France, slightly turned to the left, wearing a plain, open bodice on a foot-length, dragging from behind pleated skirt with a floral motif. The hair is divided into three from the middle of the forehead, where the middle is combed straight back and on both sides curled down to the shoulders. On the back of the head a decorated coiffure(?). Around the neck a necklace. In the wide and low neckline two folded neckerchiefs over each other, of which the upper one hangs over the shoulders. The projecting bodice closes at the front with 14 bands and ends in a point. The wide front panel consists of several pieces and the open half-length sleeves are closed by a bow. Scalloped turned-back cuffs. Above the bodice piece a scalloped strip on which in the middle a jewel(?). Gathered apron, trimmed around with a strip. In the right hand a folding fan.
