Saint Theodorus Trichinas, Saint Agnes of Montepulciano, Saint Anselm of Canterbury, Saint Opportuna of Montreuil (20-22 April)

Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Theodorus Trichinas trampling a devilish creature, top right Saint Agnes of Montepulciano in her grave, bottom left Saint Anselm of Canterbury addressing a monk from whose mouth smoke comes, bottom right Saint Opportuna embraced, lying in bed, Mary. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
