Saint George, Saint Sabbas the Goth, Saint Mark the Evangelist, Saint Marcellinus (23-26 April)

Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint George (George the Great) on horseback killing a dragon, top right Saint Sabas in a pot of boiling liquid, bottom left Saint Mark the Evangelist writing at a small table with a lion beside him, bottom right Saint Marcellinus as a pope kneeling before an image. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
