Saint Philip and Saint James the Less, Saint Athanasius the Great, Finding of the True Cross, Saint Pelagia of Tarsus (1-4 May)

Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left the apostles Philip with a cross staff and James the Less with a club standing next to each other, top right Saint Anastasius on horseback at a gate, bottom left Saint Helena with the cross and the three nails, bottom right Saint Pelagia in a bull standing above a fire. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
