Saint Augustine of Hippo, Saint Hilary of Arles, Saint John the Evangelist, Saint John of Damascus (5-6 May)

Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Augustine kneeling in a garden, top right Saint Hilary of Arles standing behind a kneeling young man at an altar, bottom left Saint John the Evangelist in a pot standing on a fire, bottom right Saint John of Damascus sleeping in a chair while Mary (?) appears to him. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
