Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Aegidius of Nîmes sitting next to a hind in a forest, top right Saint Lupus of Sens before an altar on which a chalice stands in which a gemstone is just falling, bottom left the prophetess Anna pointing to Mary, a bishop and the Christ Child, bottom right Saint Nonnosus of Soracte kneeling before a floating block of stone from which a branch grows. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 depictions). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints and issued with a separate title page.
