Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saints Philotheus and Theotimus facing each other with palm branches in their hands, top right Saint Leonard of Noblat reading in a forest, bottom left Saint Florentius of Strasbourg with two stags and a boar, bottom right Saint Godfrey of Amiens who brings food to a sick person. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
