Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Remigius of Reims receiving oil from a bird to baptize King Chlodovech (Clovis), top right Saint Leodegard of Autun being made blind by an executioner, bottom left Saint Gerardus of Brogne before an altar, bottom right Saint Francis of Assisi receiving the stigmata. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 depictions). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints and issued with a separate title page.
