Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left a man (Christ?) carrying a cross to a gate in the presence of a crowd of people, top right Saint Aprus of Toul driving out devils at three people, bottom left Saint Euphemia of Chalcedon in an oven full of fire, bottom right Saint Lambert of Maastricht being murdered by two men. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 depictions). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints and issued with a separate title page.
