About this work
Christian, Duke of Brunswick (a captain in the service of the States), has the silver statue of Saint Liborius from a church in Münster melted down into rijksdaalders to pay his soldiers, 1622. In the center, the statue of the saint; around it, in four scenes, the making of the statue, its consecration, its veneration, and finally its melting down into coins. Between these, images of the obverse and reverse of a coin. Below the print, a text in two columns in Dutch.
