About this work
Christian, Duke of Brunswick (cavalry captain in States service), has the silver statue of Saint Liborius from a church in Münster melted down into rijksdaalders to pay his soldiers, 1622. Centrally the statue of the saint, around it in four scenes the making of the statue, the consecration, the adoration and finally the melting down into coins. Between them images of the front and back of a coin. Below the plate a text of 2 columns in Dutch.
