About this work

A falconer as standard-bearer with on a standard a rectangular shield that offers space for a verse. The man precedes the five falconers in the triumph of Emperor Maximilian I. This is evident from the falcons on the left that hunt prey. A heron is attacked in the air, a vulture is chased and a duck is not safe either. Above the head of the falconer a blank text band is depicted.
