About this work
Three chamois and two ibex with laurel wreaths on their heads walk in a row. They form part of the triumphal procession of Emperor Maximilian I and follow a hunter, depicted as standard-bearer. He carries a hunting horn, a dagger, ice spurs and a standard with a blank cartouche with space for text. Above his head a blank text band is depicted.
