About this work

Five red deer walk in a row, carrying in their large branched antlers a laurel wreath. They form part of the triumphal procession of Emperor Maximilian I and follow a hunter, depicted as standard-bearer. He carries a hunting horn and a standard with a blank cartouche with space for text. Above his head a blank text band is depicted.
