About this work
In an interior a family celebrates the Feast of Saint Nicholas. The father sits by the fireplace reading, behind him two daughters show their dolls which they have received. On the ground a child snacks with a bowl of cookies and sweets. On the left a crying boy who has only received a rod; the maid behind him has his shoe with the rod inside.
