About this work
The personification of the Art of Writing sits with a book on her lap and points with a writing quill at a shield with the portrait of Father Time who holds up a cloth and thereby reveals a naked woman. To the right of the Art of Writing a putto raises his club towards a devilish figure. In the air flies an angel with a laurel wreath and trumpet to which a coat of arms hangs.
